GoEIT is now part of Trade Master
This transition brings GoEIT into a larger national training operation, creating greater capability to deliver more courses, in more locations, across a wider range of technical and business training needs.
GoEIT has supported electricians across New Zealand with practical EWRB competency training for many years. By becoming part of Trade Master, customers will continue to have access to competency training while also benefiting from Trade Master’s broader course portfolio, delivery network and industry expertise.
What this means for you
If you are already booked on a GoEIT course, your booking remains in place.
Courses scheduled through to 30 September 2026 will continue under the existing GoEIT arrangements. You do not need to take any action unless we contact you directly.
From 1 October 2026, future GoEIT competency training will transition to Trade Master but still under the GoEIT brand. Wherever practical, we intend to retain familiar course dates, locations and delivery arrangements.
As part of Trade Master, customers will have access to:
- Continued EWRB competency training.
- More courses delivered across a wider regional network.
- A broader range of technical, regulatory and business training.
- Greater flexibility in course dates and locations.
- Training backed by Master Electricians’ industry knowledge and support.
- A single point of contact for bookings, course information and training advice.
A new partnership with Active and Telfer
Trade Master and Master Electricians have also entered into a new partnership with Active Electrical Suppliers and Telfer Electrical.
Active built GoEIT and, together with Telfer, will continue supporting its transition into Trade Master through their branch networks, customer relationships and promotional channels.
Where suitable, Active and Telfer branches will host GoEIT and other Trade Master courses. This partnership will help expand training delivery into more communities, provide customers with convenient local venues and create opportunities for a wider range of Trade Master courses to be delivered through the branch network.
What stays the same
Our priority is to make the transition straightforward and maintain continuity for customers.
You can expect:
- Existing bookings to remain in place.
- Continued access to trusted competency training.
- Familiar regional locations wherever practical.
- Clear communication if any course details need to change.
- Access to a wider range of training through Trade Master.
Thank you for your ongoing support of GoEIT. We look forward to welcoming you to Trade Master and providing you with greater access to the training you need.
