Seaward Power Test 200 proving popular during Competency Courses

Ensuring our students fully understand earth fault loop impedance testing is a priority for our Trainers.  While the inclusion of an RCD as protection of a socket outlet circuit negates the need for EFLI testing, our Trainers believe all electrical workers should understand the “earth fault loop” and how it impacts on the timely operation of circuit protection devices.

During courses students conduct EFLI measurements using Seaward Power Test 200 multi-function testers, courtesy of Electrotest.  Electrotest Sales Engineer Michael Snook says, “We are pleased to be able to provide Electrical Industry Training with test equipment.  We share the same values and objectives, to provide the industry with quality product that supports business and keeps electrical workers and the public safe.  The Power Test 200 is a step up from our older models and is proving popular with initial demand outstripping supply in the wake of Covid-19.  Additional stock is due soon.
